Volunteers are the lifeblood of what the organization is trying to accomplish. They are in essence the main resources HAMREC looks for.
With a near-zero budget to start any programs, it makes sense for the organization to recruit volunteers. We have opportunities for the New York, Florida, and New Jersey communities.
The volunteer work is not the same as the internship program that we run.
However, you will gain valuable professional experience and recognition on your resume. Most of the work does not require more than 5 hours a week to accomplish. We offer training in many areas.
Volunteer Opportunities include:
Tutoring
Mentoring
Food pantry
Intepreters
Advisory Boards
We are looking for instructors for our professional certification programs
To be considered for service, you must meet the following simple criteria:
Be 18 years of age or older
complete a volunteer application
complete orientation
